ANNOTATED WEBLIOGRAPHY OF HUMANISM
This is a very interesting web site that offers a collection of information regarding humanism. The information represents the considered judgement of Dr. Peter Derkx.
We found this an excellent and useful resource.
Bodyart Directory
This is a high quality directory that is human edited and only approves outstanding web sites for listings. It offers great information on tattoos, bodypainting, and articles on piercings.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Libraries and Study Centers
The Museum's libraries contain books, periodicals, photographs, manuscripts, and other scholarly resources in printed and electronic formats. The Museum also maintains several specialized study centers with images, documentation, and actual objects on display or reserve for examination by researchers. Get more information about each library and study center, including hours, access, and specialty; or view fifty highlights from the libraries' holdings of rare first editions, artists' treatises and manuals, illustrated atlases, and more.
Online Resources
In addition to presenting more than 3,500 objects from its collection and its Timeline of Art History, The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers two research opportunities directly on this Web site. Watsonline is the online catalogue for the Museum's libraries. The Lita Annenberg Hazen and Joseph H. Hazen Center for Electronic Information Resources provides a number of services both online and at its physical location in Thomas J. Watson Library, including an index of general and specialized Internet links.
Photographs and Slides
The Photograph and Slide Library sells black-and-white photographs of objects in the Museum's collection for study or personal use. For purposes of publication, the library rents color transparencies and sells black-and-white photographs. In addition, slides are rented for lecture use in the New York City area. Policies and fees vary; get more information about the Photograph and Slide Library. See Visitor Information for the Museum's gallery photography policy.
Teacher Resources
A steady stream of programs, activities, workshops, and printed and electronic information developed by the Education Department allows teachers to integrate art into their daily curricula and to consider the Met's collection a virtual extension of their classrooms. Get more information about resources for teachers and their students at the Museum.
