Horror Story about Dominos Pizza - Thousand Oaks California
On 2-10-06 my twelve year old
daughter and her friend wanted to order a pizza from Dominos Pizza.
I gave them some money and went to the convenience store to buy some milk for them. When I
returned the Dominos Pizza man had attempted to delivered the pizza and my daughter
had misplaced the money and he would literally not wait one minute for
me to return or leave the Pizza. My daughter and her friend
pleaded with the delivery guy to please wait a one minute for me to return or
leave the pizza which we would gladly pay for. My daughter
explained to him that we were long term customers and that they were
very hungry and really wanted the pizza and that there would be no
problem for him to be paid. The Domino's delivery man said he wanted to
wait or leave the pizza, however he would get in trouble with the store
manager Malida.
So when I returned one minute after the delivery guy left, my daughter
and her friend were very upset and crying. I said not to worry I
would take care of it. So I phoned the Thousand Oaks Dominos Pizza
store and after some run around talked to the manager Malida. She
was an arrogant, rude and incompetent person who had no clue about
customer service. I started out by saying I was sorry about the
problem and wished either the delivery man would have waited one minute
or would have left the pizza and we would pay for it. Malida went
crazy and treated me like she was a General in the Army and I was some
sub human creature. She would not listen to anything I wanted to
say and just talked over me like I was nothing. She went on a 5
minute rant about how great of a manager she was and how she had ordered
her staff to do all of the above, etc. etc. Finally when she would
let me speak I told her I did not agree with what she was saying and
that she needed some basic customer service training. She interrupted me
and told me point blank if I did not like her policies she did not care
about my business, and not to order pizzas from her Dominos store
anymore if I did not like what she was saying to me.
I told her fine and that was the
type of service that will drive all her customers away. She said that
was great, it did not bother her if she might lose her customers.
I thought maybe she was just saying she was the manager when she really
was not, as how could anyone with any common sense put someone like her
in charge? I made a mistake, and I asked her to please send
us a pizza as I had starving children to feed. Generally Dominos
is not the best pizza however it is usually fast, plus my daughters
friend wanted Dominos Pizza.
So another 45+ minutes go by and the delivery guy
shows back up with an intentionally burnt, totally burnt, black as tar,
I mean charred, this thing that kind of looked like a pizza. I
showed it to the driver and said would you feed this to your children.
He said NO way.
I was angry and phoned General
Malida again. Now this is where it gets bad. Malida plays
dumb and I hear all this loud laughter in the background, I was
frustrated that they thought doing something awful like this to children
was so
funny.
So I filed a complaint with Dominos corporate at
734-930-3030. They were extremely professional and offered outstanding
customer service. They were sorry this incident happened.
Malida phoned the police on me and I received a voice mail from Deputy
Lopez. He left me a message to talk about this. I returned
his call and left him a message that I wish the police did not need to
have their time wasted on this, however that if necessary I would
file harassment charges against Malida. I have not heard back from
Deputy Lopez. Now I have clients I am not so fond of, however I
have never called the police on them. I guess I never learned that
as a customer service technique.
It appears to me that Malida believes she is going
to teach me a lesson. Well we will document her lesson teaching
here.
Then Jeff Bankon?sp ( 805-373-0745 ) who claims to
be the franchise owner phones me and seems very stern and tough, and
lets me state the above and proceeds to tell me it is all my fault.
So I see where Malida learns all her customer service skills from.
I told Jeff I am not going to listen to his rude arguments and told him
have a nice life and I hang up the phone. Then I phoned back to
Dominos corporate and they apologized again and now we will see what
happens.
Please boycott Dominos Pizza in Thousand Oaks, CA.
