Pismo Beach, California
My dad and I wanted to take a vacation somewhere and so we decided to take a trip up to Pismo Beach. We stayed in the Cliffs Resort, it was a really nice hotel and with a beautiful pool looking over the beach. Underneath the pool are many little waterfalls. I was so excited to be there. My dad and I were going to stay there for five days. So when we are on the freeway to go to Pismo Beach there is this one really bad driver. We all know what that is like, to have that one person who is an inch away from your bumper and always is cutting you off. Well so we had one of those and it was really stressful but we got through it.
So I fell asleep and my dad woke me up and there we were in Pismo Beach. I was so excited. So we get to our hotel and it is to die for. It was so magnificent. When I got to my hotel room the first thing I did was to go to the swimming pool. It was so nice. I was swimming for hours. But something bad happened. I was so excited I forgot to put sunscreen on so when I got to my hotel and took a shower I went and get ready for dinner when I come out and my dad was frozen. He couldn’t believe his eyes. And I was just saying “What???” And to my surprise I was a brighter red then a lobster. And at that very moment I started to feel the pain. I got so hot and I had that horrible smelly green sticky stuff all over me and I was burning up. So that night my dad order room service and we just watched television. The next day my dad woke me up very early. Try 6:00 am. My sunburn didn’t hurt so badly so I got ready and off we were to Hurst Castle. When we got there, there was so much to do. First we had to go get our tickets. Then you go and watch a movie about Hurst’s live and how wonderful it was. Then you stand in this long line and get your picture taken which then leads to the busses. So when you figure out what buss you have to take you get in and listen to a recorded history about the place and you go up a long windy road. When you finally get to the castle you have to find the person who is going to take you around the castle. There is so much to see. There is an outside pool and an inside pool. The tour guides told us that if they think that you jump into the pool on purpose then you get a 450 dollar fine. And that every year the employee’s get to have a swim in the outside pool. But so anyways they showed use a lot of cool things. But my sunburn was hurting really bad so we went back to the hotel after the tour was over. I was just looking around the hotel having a good time. Then my dad said I heard about this really cool restaurant and it is called “Fat Cats”. I thought that it was a funny name but I said okay we can go. So we are going through the streets and there is this one street and it looks like you are going through a jungle so my dad was going slowly and all of a sudden a deer comes out of nowhere and hits the car! It was so crazy! So my dad slammed on his brakes and it was kind of in slow motion for me because when my dad pulled on the brakes I saw the deer slide on the windshield and his quarter-shaped eye was just staring at me and he had big old antlers! Then the deer slid of the car and ran back into the bushes. I and my dad could not believe what had just happened! So we pulled over and the people that were behind us saw the whole thing and pulled over too to see if we were ok. The car wasn’t really damaged at all except the side mirror fell off. So the people talked to us and then we were on our way but now we were very scared! But so we got to the restaurant and ate some really good food. After we ate there was a really big pier and my dad wanted to go and walk around on it so we did. He had to stop at the restroom in the restaurant that was on the end of the pier and after we got out we looked at the end and then saw a crowd of people standing around. So my dad thought someone had caught a shark or something. Well to our surprise we found out that some drunk guy fell off the pier! We couldn’t believe it! So someone called the police and the fire truck came on down and everything else. So with a rope the fire department got the guy onto the pier. Well I guess the story was that the guy had gotten in a fight with another guy earlier and he had been drunk and so we went to look at the ocean and he fell off!
And that was an ending to a weird night!
